Job Summary
Support, develop, implement, and optimize local/regional sourcing initiatives and strategies by working closely with plant leadership, operations, supply chain, engineering, and finance. Drive procurement excellence across indirect spending categories and capital investment projects by managing the full supplier lifecycle, including sourcing, onboarding, contract negotiation, and performance management. Develop and implement local category strategies aligned with business objectives while managing planning, tracking, and forecasting for cost budgets and savings. Negotiate agreements with suppliers, renew price lists, and partner with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and capital projects. This onsite role in Mebane, NC reports to a Category Manager and requires a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related fields with at least two years of experience in Category Management or Strategic Sourcing.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or related fields
- MINIMUM 2 years experience in Category Management or Strategic Sourcing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP Systems, and data analytics tools
- Candidates must already have US work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Power BI, Ariba, and/or SAP, a plus
