Job Summary
The Category Merchant, Private Brand role leads end-to-end category strategy across assortment, pricing, promotions, vendor strategy, and inventory to drive sales, margin, and market share. Responsibilities include owning vendor relationships, negotiating funding and performance, leading and developing Category Assistant(s), driving pricing/promotions strategy, and steering forecasting and inventory planning with cross-functional collaboration across Marketing, Ecommerce, Supply Chain, and Sales. The position emphasizes assortment planning and SKU lifecycle management and requires strategic, analytical, and financial acumen, strong leadership, and cross-functional leadership skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Marketing, or Merchandising
- Minimum Years of Experience: 6
- Experience in merchandising, category management, or retail strategy
- Strong leadership and team development
- Advanced analytical and financial skills
- Vendor negotiation expertise
- Cross-functional leadership
