Job Summary
Manage a fleet of electronic equipment within defined product categories by purchasing rental assets, adjusting prices based on demand, and advising sales personnel on opportunities. Identify growth investments and divest underperforming assets while maintaining accurate spending levels and profitability metrics for assigned categories. Collaborate with manufacturers to deepen relationships and attend trade conferences to suggest new models. Trade equipment with resellers and help set performance goals to drive rental and sales revenue growth. This role requires excellent analytical skills, deep understanding of rental equipment financials, and the ability to make data-driven decisions across the rental pool.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related field
- 5+ years of successful experience in rental industry

- Knowledge of products carried is helpful
- Understanding of good sales practices
- Self-starter, can-do attitude
- The ability to quickly learn several complex computer systems
- Analytical skills
- The ability to collect data from different systems and construct relevant analyses and takeaways

- Excellent oral and written skills
- The ability to successfully multi-task and manage concurrent situations
- Experience in a related industry (e.g., test equipment, distribution, calibration)
- Experience with strategic sourcing
- Leadership experience
