Job Summary
Build and deploy a category strategy that aligns requirements across all Business Areas and Product Lines by maintaining a portfolio of high-performing suppliers. Generate initiatives to deliver leveraged productivity performance and drive cross-functional collaboration with internal stakeholders like Manufacturing Engineering, Product Line, and R&D. Manage strategic supplier relationships to foster long-term partnerships while ensuring compliance with company policies and utilizing advanced Value-based Sourcing tools. Lead internal and external analyses to provide market expertise and support sourcing decisions in close collaboration with Global Domain Managers. Based in the Shanghai office, this role supports the Purchasing CAPEX organization's mission to shape better ways of buying through innovation and sustainability.
Required Qualifications
- University degree
- Industrial/Mechanical/Electrical Engineer or Economics background
- 3-5 years of relevant, progressive strategic sourcing and category management experience
- Experience and knowledge of the purchasing environment for the commodities managed
- Capability to analyses business procurement issues, recommend solutions and strategies, and implement change
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage strategic supplier relationships, including relationship building, performance, development, and integration
- Fluent in English
