Job Summary
Manage procurement of raw materials (Sand, Soda Ash, Feldspar, Minerals) and packing materials for multiple manufacturing plants across India. Monitor market trends, negotiate pricing, and ensure timely sourcing through ERP/SAP while maintaining optimum inventory levels. Drive cost optimization via benchmarking, supplier negotiations, and evaluating domestic versus import opportunities. Develop new suppliers, coordinate material trials, and ensure consistent quality and delivery. Plan short-, medium-, and long-term material requirements in coordination with plant teams, prepare MIS reports, and ensure smooth Procure-to-Pay operations. Collaborate with manufacturing, planning, and finance teams to guarantee uninterrupted material availability. Travel as required for supplier development and port-related activities.
Required Qualifications
- 5-10years of procurement experience in Glass, Packaging, FMCG, Chemicals, Minerals, or Process Manufacturing industries
- Strong knowledge of raw materials, chemicals, and packing materials
- Experience in strategic sourcing, vendor development, cost benchmarking, and import procurement
- Hands-on experience with ERP/SAP
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, planning, and stakeholder management skills
- Travel as required for supplier development, plant coordination, and port-related procurement activities
