Job Summary
Category Manager (Electronics) responsible for commercial, strategic, and tactical management of electronics components and/or electronics contract manufacturing suppliers to ensure Solventum product availability. Lead supplier relationships, contract negotiations, and supply chain improvements (lead time reductions, capacity, cost and risk management); drive RFP/RFQ processes, benchmarking, make-vs-buy decisions, and supplier performance via scorecards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Regulatory to resolve issues and deliver strategic initiatives. Preferred experience with electronics components such as PCBAs, displays, pumps/motors, power supplies, or cables; strong negotiation, project management, and stakeholder communication skills; knowledge of GMP and regulatory expectations. Role is remote in the United States with up to 10% travel; relocation assistance is not authorized. Compensation range $125,600–$172,700 for US applicants.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher
- 7+ years of experience in electronics components and/or electronics finished goods contract manufacturing
- Experience managing and developing supplier relationships
- Experience negotiating supplier or manufacturing contracts
- Experience working with electronics contract manufacturing (PCBAs, displays, pumps/motors, power supplies, cables)
- Experience resolving complex supply chain issues with multiple stakeholders
- Experience communicating with stakeholders at multiple levels of an organization
- Knowledge of GMP, product validation requirements, or regulatory expectations
- Experience leading cross-functional projects and RFP/RFQ processes
- Ability to travel up to 10% (domestic/international)
