Category Manager -Hybrid Role (Monday- Wednesday in Office)

Job Summary
Drive sales and margin for assigned categories by planning, selecting, and purchasing key programs, items, and brands. Own category strategy through trend monitoring, annual and monthly planning for growth, and negotiating with vendors to secure cost and marketing support. Manage assortment and planograms, execute promotions across stores and eCommerce, and build partnerships with internal teams and distributors. Engage field teams with training tools, analyze competition to grow market share, and partner with inventory and logistics to ensure smooth flow. Utilize AI and data analytics to optimize pricing and assortment while integrating strategies across in-store and digital channels. Approximately 5% travel required to stores, manufacturers, and trade shows.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum 8 years' related experience
- Strong strategic, analytical, and financial acumen
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills including advanced knowledge of MS Excel
- Exceptional relationship-building skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools and CoPilot
- Omnichannel or Franchise model merchandising experience a plus
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines
- Self-motivation and results orientation with the ability to function effectively as a part of a cross functional team yet work independently
- Ability to travel to stores, manufacturers, and trade shows – Approximately 5% travel required
