Job Summary
End-to-end category management for Hot Snacks across Shell Retail Benelux. Responsible for developing and executing the category strategy, managing assortment, pricing, promotions, and positioning with full P&L accountability from sell-in to sell-out. Lead supplier selection and negotiations, drive product innovation and pilots, ensure food safety and quality across all sites, and collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Foodservice to translate consumer trends and commercial objectives into a scalable, profitable offering. Strong emphasis on operational feasibility, food safety, and stakeholder management across a large retail network; requires Dutch language proficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in category management within foodservice, bakery or convenience food
- Strong understanding of hot food concepts and operational processes
- Strong commercial acumen, with excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Experience applying the full 4P framework: product, price, promotion, and placement
- Analytical mindset, with the ability to translate data and insights into actionable outcomes
- Hands‐on and pragmatic, with a solid understanding of day‐to‐day retail operations
- Fluent in Dutch (spoken and written)
