Job Summary
Drive procurement initiatives across assigned commodities by acting as a trusted advisor to Operations, Engineering, and other departments. Develop and execute multi-year category strategies while leveraging market intelligence and spend analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and streamline vendor relationships. Manage full-cycle sourcing processes including RFIs and RFPs, lead commercial negotiations on pricing and SLAs, and oversee supplier partnerships to ensure compliance with KPIs and regulatory requirements. Monitor essential metrics such as cost optimization, contract coverage, and supplier performance to support operational excellence. This strategic role champions innovation and risk mitigation within key categories, utilizing data-driven insights to influence stakeholders and enhance overall business value.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain, MIS, or a related field
- A minimum of five years' experience in strategic sourcing or category management, preferably within direct commodities
- Demonstrated success in negotiating complex contracts, managing vendor performance, and delivering measurable cost optimization
- Adaptability to changing business conditions
- Great project management and influence skills
