Job Summary

Category Manager responsible for identifying, researching, evaluating and selecting suppliers that meet standards of price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply; evaluates complex sales and promotional campaigns to secure reduced prices; conducts sourcing, supplier evaluation, contract management, and monitoring of material/service delivery to support global operations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Business, Supply Chain or related or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Minimum 10 years Progressively responsible experience in purchasing/commodity management.
  • Minimum 3 years in a highly regulated environment.
  • Minimum 8 years with purchasing/commodity management software.
  • Strong experience in negotiating terms in purchasing agreements.
  • In depth experience in contract management.
  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
  • Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects.
  • Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
  • Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail.
  • Ability to travel approximately up to 20%, including internationally
