Job Summary
Category Manager responsible for identifying, researching, evaluating and qualifying suppliers that meet standards of price, quality, timing and reliability of supply; evaluate complex marketing campaigns to secure reduced prices; lead sourcing, supplier evaluation, and selection, negotiate supply contracts, and monitor material and service quality and timeliness. Role involves executing highly complex or specialized projects, potentially coaching lower-level staff, and working as an individual contributor within a highly matrixed and geographically diverse environment. Requires strong negotiation, contract management, cross-functional collaboration, and ability to travel internationally up to 20%.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Business, Supply Chain or related or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Minimum 10 years Progressively responsible experience in purchasing/commodity management
- Minimum 3 years in a highly regulated environment
- Minimum 8 years with purchasing/commodity management software
- Strong experience in negotiating terms in purchasing agreements
- In depth experience in contract management
- Ability to travel approximately up to 20%, including internationally
