Job Summary
Category Manager for direct materials focusing on filtration, membrane, and sterilization technologies. Responsible for developing long-term category strategies, managing RFx processes, leading cross-functional supplier selections, negotiating terms and pricing, and driving cost savings and supply reliability. Collaborates with engineering, quality, operations, and R&D to align supplier strategy with product and customer needs; aims to optimize lead times, MOQs, localization, and inventory turns through strategic sourcing, supplier consolidation, and vendor management. Requires strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills; proficiency with ERP/SAP, Excel (advanced), Power BI, and MS Office; professional certifications in procurement are a plus. Location options include Lakewood, CO or remote, with the position anchored in a global manufacturing context and targeting annual pay of $125,200–$156,500 plus 10% target bonus.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain or operations
- Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Engineering or technical discipline is preferred
- 6+ years in similar role or related experience in a global manufacturing company
- Experience in Medical Device industry (preferred)
- Experience with ERP (SAP preferred) and Power BI
- Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: CPSM/CSCP/PMP or other relevant certifications (preferred)
