Job Summary
Category Manager, Electronics in Abbott Medical Devices driving global electronics category strategy. You will lead electronics category management, build and manage stakeholder and supplier relationships, and develop and implement supplier strategies. Responsibilities include supplier identification and qualification, competitive bidding, total cost analysis, market intelligence, supplier consolidation, and supplier relationship management; ensure contract compliance; partner with cross-functional teams to track and improve supplier performance; develop contingency/dual sourcing for critical components; lead supplier scorecards and business reviews; support sustainability and responsible sourcing in regulatory, environmental, and ethical standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 6-10 years of Procurement and/or deep category management experience
- 3 years in regulated industry
- Strong contract negotiation experience
- Ability to travel approximately 20%, including international
