Job Summary
Category Manager for Cocina (Prepared Foods) responsible for merchandising, marketing and financial objectives of assigned Mexican foods product categories. Develops and executes strategic category plans, manages assortment and shelf placement, analyzes performance metrics, drives pricing and promotions, leads supplier relationships and procurement, and collaborates with Marketing and Operations to deliver authentic Mexican products and programs. Focuses on differentiation through Mexican authenticity, cultural relevance, and alignment with consumer trends, while optimizing margins and in-store execution through cross-functional collaboration with Operations, Field Trainers, and vendors.
Required Qualifications
- College degree preferred or minimum of 5 years equivalent experience in various Fresh or Prepared Foods
- 5-10 years of retail experience preferred
- 2-5 year’s experience with category management practices
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
