Job Summary
Own and drive category strategies for global Machinery and Electrical categories, including supplier selection, contract management, and performance analysis. Lead commercial negotiations and tenders to balance cost, quality, and availability while analyzing spending to identify cost drivers. Build and challenge supplier relationships to ensure value creation and support major innovation projects such as battery vessels. Work closely with stakeholders across operations, supply chain, and fleet to ensure alignment on planning, sourcing, and delivery improvements. Ensure catalogues, pricing, and commercial terms are accurate and fit for purpose. Report to the Head of Machinery and Electrical in Shanghai with travel expected as part of the role.
Required Qualifications
- Experience within procurement, category management, or supply chain
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills
- Experience working in complex, international environments
- Background within the Electrical area
- A relevant degree
- Fluency in English
- Fluency in Mandarin
- Travel as part of the role
