Job Summary
Albertsons Campbell Snacks Category Manager responsible for accelerating category growth and delivering actionable insights to the Albertsons buying team. Develop category strategies, advise on distribution, shelving, merchandising, and pricing (DSMP), identify whitespace opportunities, and mine syndicated data (Circana/IRI, Nielsen) and loyalty data (EYC) to generate category-level insights. Create compelling, story-driven presentations for senior buyers and internal leadership, lead line reviews and JBP processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize shelf assortment and planograms using space-management tools (JDA/Blue Yonder, Apollo, ProSpace). This role requires strong analytical and presentation skills, the ability to synthesize multiple data sources into clear category narratives, and effective communication with retailers to drive mutual category growth. The position is remote with approximately 10% travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field required; MBA preferred
- 4+ years of CPG sales, category management, or data analytics experience
- Experience with Albertsons or comparable top 10 retailer preferred
- Proficiency in syndicated data platforms: Circana (IRI) and/or Nielsen/NielsenIQ
- Experience with loyalty card data platforms (e.g., EYC)
- Hands-on experience with space management/POG software (JDA/Blue Yonder, Apollo, ProSpace, or equivalent)
- Ability to synthesize multiple data sources to develop clear category stories and selling presentations
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Strong self-motivation and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; Tableau or Power BI a plus
- Team-oriented with cross-functional collaboration
