Job Summary
As Global Category Manager, you will lead strategic sourcing of raw materials within a three-segment procurement framework (Direct materials, indirect materials & logistics) and drive supplier selection, Total Cost of Ownership optimization, and long-term partnerships with key suppliers across regions. You will engage with multiple stakeholders including senior management, Directors and VPs, to translate business requirements into category strategies, manage international sourcing across high-complexity environments, and deliver initiatives that reduce costs while aligning with Nouryon’s global procurement strategy. You will report to the Procurement Director of the EMEIA region and contribute to global continuous improvement projects, balancing technical and commercial requirements to support financial objectives while traveling 15-20%.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years procurement experience in strategic procurement and category management
- Bachelor or master’s degree related to the industry
- Advanced strategic thinking skills & extensive negotiation experience
- Strong analytical skills
- Comprehensive experience of working with international sourcing across regions in high complexity environment
- Strong stakeholder management & capability to build strong internal and external relationships
- Fluent in English, both verbal as well as in writing
- Travel (15 – 20 %) is expected.
