Job Summary
Conduct TCO analyses, support execution of TCO savings initiatives, and develop strategic plans for assigned spend categories. Engage proactively with Business Unit customers on sourcing goals, category strategies, and savings targets. Lead and execute savings initiatives while communicating updates to Supply Chain leaders. Analyze relevant markets, assess cost impacts of market events, and maintain supplier lists for assigned categories. Resolve implementation issues with suppliers and BU users. Travel up to one week per month to meet with customers and suppliers. Performs work in a hybrid 3-2 schedule at locations in Innsbrook, VA; Cayce, SC; or Jenkinsville, SC.
Required Qualifications
- 5-6+ years of related experience
- Exposure to customer business processes and objectives
- Basic understanding of business cost drivers
- General knowledge of assigned categories; steam turbine and construction and demolition
- Excellent communications skills that allow clear articulation of business cases and development of effective presentations
- Analytic toolset that will support the creation of financial targets, spend analysis, building of TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) models, and capture of TCO data
- Ability to develop detailed project plans and to provide project reporting
- Ability to support the development of a structured negotiation strategy, under the guidance of the Category Management Consultant
