Job Summary
Category Leadership Manager leads space management projects and designs category shelf schematics using standardized planning processes and tools, collaborates with Sales to determine account priorities, and pursues initiatives related to space, assortment, and sales analytics. Responsibilities include conducting space and distribution opportunity analyses to optimize revenue and profit, making product addition/deletion recommendations by brand and package, tracking planogram changes, and guiding Category Analysts. The role requires expertise with space management software (ProSpace, ProSpace+ or Apollo) and familiarity with syndicated data (IRI, Nielsen, SPINS) and retailer loyalty data; presents findings and recommendations, participates in customer meetings, and supports ad-hoc analytical projects. Minimum travel is 20% of time. Location is Field Office - NY (NYC/Bronx/Kings/Queens/Richmond) and Westchester, NY. Minimum qualifications include 1–2 years of space management experience and strong Excel/PowerPoint skills; preferred qualifications include 3+ years and direct sales/merchandising experience.
