Job Summary
Located at the Bechtel Gurgaon office, Category Lead - Instrumentation drives procurement of instrumentation items (ICSS, DCS, PLCs, field instruments, analyzers, detectors, valves) for FEED/EPC projects. Develop buying strategies, monitor market trends, qualify new suppliers, maintain supplier relationships, manage documentation and heat maps, negotiate contracts, and lead cost-saving and continuous improvement initiatives. Serve as SME for instrumentation procurement across projects and GBUs, and collaborate with engineering, construction and commissioning teams to align sourcing with business needs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- 12+ years of industry experience
- 8-10 years in purchasing and expediting Instrumentation Items
- min. 5 years as Instrumentation category lead
- post-graduate specialization in Supply Chain Management preferred
