Job Summary
Category Demand Manager overseeing end-to-end performance of a category in a UK retail/supply chain context. Responsible for demand planning, forecasting accuracy aligned to trading plans, and managing stock levels and cost to serve. Leads programs and seasonal events, builds medium-term plans, influences senior stakeholders, and drives improvements in availability, cost, and efficiency across cross-functional teams using data analysis and demand planning systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDA). Mentors and develops teams to achieve performance objectives and deliver measurable supply chain improvements.
Required Qualifications
- proven experience managing demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain operations within a commercial or retail environment
- experience using demand planning or supply chain systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, JDA, or similar) to optimise performance outputs
- demonstrable ability to analyse complex datasets and apply root cause analysis to inform decision-making
- proven track record of leading, coaching, and developing a team to achieve defined performance objectives
- evidence of influencing cross-functional stakeholders to deliver measurable improvements in availability, cost, or efficiency
