Job Summary
Category Buyer for Technical Spares at Maersk with end-to-end responsibility for demand-to-delivery for allocated vessel spares. Leads RFQ processes with non-contracted suppliers, supports Procure to Pay to ensure timely payments and resolve invoice discrepancies, and collaborates with technical stakeholders. Requires 2-4 years in procurement, engineering background and a Masters in Supply Chain/Operations Management preferred. Demonstrates strong communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills; emphasizes driving cost-efficiency, process compliance, and opportunities to implement automation as part of Maersk's Digital Agenda. Must be a self-driven team player capable of influencing internal and external partners and aligning supply with Right Price, Right Place, Right Time, and Right Quantity.
Required Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience in procurement domain
- Educational background in Engineering and/or a Masters in Supply Chain or Operations Management
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English
- Ability to drive end-to-end procurement processes (RFQ, PTP)
- Experience with supplier performance and stakeholder management
- Willingness to learn, adapt and drive automation/digital initiatives
