Job Summary
Pre-model underwriting submissions for Property, Energy, Marine, and other lines as per business needs. Assist portfolio reporting by preparing and managing risk modelling data for monthly roll-ups across multiple business lines. Handle regulatory returns and execute ad hoc projects as required. Interpret slips to ascertain key modelling assumptions, ensure data completeness, and liaise with brokers to supplement information where necessary. Communicate technical concepts clearly to support underwriting decisions across London, Europe, and APAC platforms. Requires experience in catastrophe modelling, RMS platforms, SQL, and VBA.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in cat modelling
- Experience in an Insurance environment
- Knowledge of the RMS detailed loss modelling platform
- Competence in SQL
- Competence in VBA
- Proven experience of building reporting tools
- Strong numerical data handling and analysis skills
- Ability to understand and communicate technical concepts
- Ability to work effectively individually and as part of a team
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of GIS tools
