Job Summary
Investigate, negotiate, and settle medium to high complexity claims by telephone and written correspondence. Interpret policy wordings, determine coverages and reserves, and document files with evaluations and decision-making processes. Process payments within established authority levels and communicate empathetically with customers to guide them through the claim process. Participate in initiatives to identify and implement enhancements to claim policies and procedures. Meet productivity, customer service goals, and quality objectives specified for National Claims.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years' experience in handling medium to large loss complex residential property claims
- CIP Designation, or currently enrolled
- Experience in adjusting single peril auto claims
- IICRC Certification, or enrollment
- HAAG Certification, or enrollment
- Ability to review, critique, and negotiate reconstruction estimates
- Proficient with Xactimate and Guidewire
- Stratum 1 Information Processing Capability
- The ability to handle high volume of claims – 125+/- pending
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingualism considered an asset
