Job Summary
Conduct reactor and tower maintenance services at refineries and petrochemical facilities nationwide, including inert and non-inert confined space entry operations. Operate company vehicles, load and unload tubular vessels, and manage catalyst bed loading while maintaining a clean environment and reporting unusual findings. Support rescue operations and adhere to all Quality Assurance and Quality Control procedures. Wear Life Support equipment for safety and monitor surrounding dangers using multi-gas portable detectors. Work in variable hours with extensive travel across the U.S., requiring physical agility and the ability to work at heights and in extreme temperatures.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience
- Possession of a valid TWIC
- Possession of a valid Driver's License
- Clean Background Check
- Ability to pass a drug screen (breath, urine, follicle)
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to occasionally lift more than 51 pounds
- Must be able to work in confined spaces
- Must be able to work at heights
- Must be able to climb ladders and stairways
- Must be able to work off platforms
- Must be able to move about on hands and feet
- Must be able to bend body downward and forward

- Must be able to be fit tested for the various respirators used
- Must be able to maintain poise and focus under time constraint and adverse conditions
- Must be able to verbally communicate alarms or warnings clearly, concisely, loudly and quickly
- Must be able to attend and complete trainings as required by the Company and client
- Must be able to work in immediately dangerous to life and health (IDLH) confined space entry conditions
- Must be able to operate and maintain all company owned or rented vehicles in a professional manner
- Must be able to maintain a clean environment
- Must be able to report unusual findings in vessel such as fused catalyst or hot spots, etc. to Supervisor
- Must be able to unload and load tubular vessels
- Must be able to adhere to all Quality Assurance and Quality Control requirements
- Must be able to load catalyst bed
- Must be able to assist with the cleaning and correct loading of equipment and trailers
- Must be able to support the Supervisors by keeping work areas clear and free of obstructions
- Must be able to learn the proper function and usage of the Life Support equipment and its safety factors
- Must be able to wear the Life Support equipment on non-inert confined space entries
- Must be able to gain experience on its usage and safety for future growth and advancement
- Must be able to operate the retrieval devised and multi-gas portable detectors
- Must be able to monitor the surrounding and dangers associated with entering confined spaces
- Must be able to follow all Company Quality Control/Quality Assurance procedures and processes
- Must be able to possess skills necessary to perform confined space entries (non-inert)
- Must be able to pass all required drug/alcohol testing and background requirements
- Must be able to work in a petrochemical / refinery environment
- Must be able to work in cold working conditions during winter months
- Must be able to work in hot working conditions during the summer months
- Must be able to work in an emergency situation
- Must be able to work in an environment where exposure to hazardous chemicals may occur
- Must be able to work in a project- based position
- Must be able to work variable/ project dependent days and hours
- Must be able to work over-time work
- Must be able to travel throughout U.S.
- Must be able to make overnight stay for extended periods of time
- Must be able to work in client facilities
