Job Summary
Operate CT scanners to perform a variety of technical procedures independently, ensuring proper patient positioning, radiation safety, and adherence to established protocols. Assist physicians with procedures such as administering contrast materials, biopsies, and maintaining equipment and supplies. Demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, and implement dose optimization techniques for patients of different age groups.
Required Qualifications
- ARRT in Radiology required
- New York State License with IV certification
- Minimum of 1 year job-related experience
Desired Qualifications
- Completed formal training in AMA approved school
- ARRT in CT desirable
- Through knowledge of CT principles/procedures
- One year experience as staff technologist in a comparable hospital setting preferred
