Cat Scan Technologist Per Diem

Conduct CT scans to produce cross-section images of patient internal organs and tissues for diagnosis. Operate CT scanners safely while maintaining radiation exposure at ALARA levels and following dose optimization protocols. Immobilize patients, select technical factors, and consult with physicians to determine testing procedures per established protocols. Administer contrast material using the power injector under physician direction and assist with biopsies and invasive procedures. Transport patients as needed, maintain sterile techniques, and clean all equipment and supplies after each use. Review images to ensure usability before sending to PACS and follow all stroke protocols. Schedule includes flexible Monday and Friday shifts, evenings, overnights, and weekends. Hourly rate is $62.38.
