Job Summary
Operate Computed Tomography equipment, prepare patients for examinations, and administer oral and IV contrast materials while monitoring patient conditions throughout the procedure. Position patients within the gantry, key in history data, and calculate scan parameters to ensure required images are obtained as ordered by the Radiologist. Transmit cases to internal and external Nighthawk services for interpretation, transfer images to PACS, and report any changes in patient condition or motor abnormalities to the physician. Ensure proper patient screening, consent, and protocol adherence while managing patient flow and completing necessary RIS and PACS steps. Requires New York State licensure, IV contrast certification, and CT registration.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program
- New York State Department of Health licensure as a Radiologic Technologist
- New York State certification in IV Contrast Administration
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Registered Technologist (R.T.(R)(ARRT))
- ARRT registration in Computed Tomography (R.T.(R)(CT)(ARRT))
- Prior experience as a Radiology Technologist
