Job Summary
Conduct diagnostic imaging procedures including CT, MRI, ultrasound, and mammography while maintaining competency in at least two modalities. Provide on-call coverage for additional modalities as needed by the department. Communicate exam procedures to patients and troubleshoot computer software issues related to imaging equipment. Maintain BLS certification and hold state or national credentials for radiology disciplines. Requires high school diploma or GED with preference for an associate's degree in radiologic technology. One to two years of clinical radiology experience is necessary.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Graduate of an accredited Radiology discipline
- Knowledge of radiographic procedures and practices
- Communicates exams/procedures to patients
- Knowledge computer software and ability to trouble shoot
- Familiar with imaging equipment and all other patient care equipment
- Maintain competency in a minimus of two modalities
- BLS Certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Credentialed, certified, or licensed in a minimum of two (2) different Radiology modalities through the state, ARRT, NMTCB, ARMRIT, or ARDMS
- 1-2 years of Clinical Radiology Experience
