Job Summary
The Registered Cat Scan Technologist will perform various CT Scans and assist the Radiologist during invasive procedures for diagnostic purposes. Responsibilities include assisting in CT scan examinations, communicating clinical observations to the Radiologist, injecting contrast as per department policy, and maintaining professional development through ongoing education. The candidate must demonstrate competency in RIS/HIS modules, adhere to downtime procedures, and ensure quality of digital images sent to PACS. Graduates from ARRT recognized programs are required, along with advanced registry in CT within one year and NJDEP licensure.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an ARRT recognized education program, or AART registered.
- Current state license (NJDEP) and appropriate registry (ARRT) is required.
- 1 year of experience is required.
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced CT registry required within one year of hire.
- Current BLS certification within three months of hire.
- Two years or more of experience as a CT Technologist in a hospital setting preferred.
