Job Summary
Perform clinical CT imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders and established protocols. Produce high-quality images, evaluate them for diagnostic accuracy, and correctly identify patients to label all studies. Exercise independent judgment when selecting and modifying imaging protocols, while administering contrast media with accurate documentation. Monitor patients throughout procedures to ensure safety and comfort, and maintain compliance with Joint Commission and hospital accreditation standards. Ensure proper operation and routine quality control of CT equipment while collaborating with radiologists, physicians, and nurses. Requires ARRT certification, NY State license, contrast media certification, and one year of diagnostic radiology experience. Base salary ranges from $54.51 to $67.48 per hour with a $10,000 sign-on bonus for new hires.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program
- Current ARRT certification
- Current New York State Department of Health Radiologic Technologist license
- Certification to administer contrast media
- Minimum of one (1) year of diagnostic radiology experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
