Job Summary
Perform a variety of clinical CT imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders and established protocols. Produce high-quality CT images, evaluate them for technical accuracy, and correctly identify patients to label all studies. Exercise sound clinical judgment when selecting and modifying imaging protocols, administer contrast media with accurate documentation, and monitor patients throughout procedures for safety and comfort. Maintain compliance with hospital policies, departmental procedures, and all applicable regulatory and accreditation standards, including Joint Commission requirements. Ensure proper operation and routine quality control of CT equipment while collaborating effectively with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program
- Current ARRT certification
- Current New York State Department of Health Radiologic Technologist license
- Certification to administer contrast media
- Minimum of one (1) year of diagnostic radiology experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
