Job Summary
Perform various imaging procedures in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Review patient history and physician's orders, then educate patients regarding procedures and equipment to ensure cooperation. When ordered, prepare and administer contrast media and medications while monitoring patient condition and reporting status changes. Prepare equipment, select exposure factors, and implement safety standards and quality control procedures. Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions as necessary. Position patients, analyze results to identify image quality issues, and take appropriate action including repositioning or repeating procedures. Enter, transmit, and report scan results effectively utilizing the Electronic Health Record. Call will be assigned on an as needed basis.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology
- ARRT registered in Radiology
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association (AHA) within 30 days of hire
- Critical thinking skills
- Decisive judgment
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
