Job Summary
Perform CT examinations requiring sound understanding of anatomical positioning, CT protocols, and equipment to produce quality diagnostic images for interpretation. Communicate with attending Radiologists, verify orders, and obtain patient history while preparing patients for procedures to minimize anxiety. Operate CT and medical imaging equipment safely, manage contrast material administration, and adhere to radiation safety and infection control standards. Maintain CT room cleanliness and perform daily, monthly, semi-annual, and annual Quality Control checks. Prioritize work assignments based on changing situations and attend department meetings. Requires 1-3 years of experience, AART registry certification, NJ State DEP license, and BLS certification. Per diem schedule includes 4 shifts within a 6-week grid with weekend coverage.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years' experience
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologies Advanced registry in CT
- Graduated from an accredited Radiology program
- Licensed by NJ State DEP
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologies
- BLS certification
- Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing
- Advanced computer skills including email, Microsoft applications and ability to comprehend and utilize Electronic Medical Record System, RIS and PACS Systems
- Ability to travel to satellite locations as needed
- 2 or more of those shifts will occur during the weekend
- Must work at least one Holiday per year
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Power injectors
- IV certified
