Job Summary
Review patient history and physician orders, then educate patients on procedures and equipment to ensure cooperation. Administer contrast media or medications when ordered, while continuously monitoring patient condition and reporting status changes. Prepare equipment and supplies, implementing safety standards and performing quality control procedures. Position patients and perform imaging procedures, analyzing results to identify quality issues. Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions as necessary, repositioning patients or repeating procedures to resolve image quality problems. Enter, transmit, and report scan results. This full-time night shift role offers some schedule flexibility, working either 5x8s or 4x10s.
Required Qualifications
- current NM Radiologic Technologist license
- graduate of an ARRT, JRCERT, ARMRIT, or NMTCB accredited program in Radiologic Technology, Radiation Therapy, MR, or Nuclear Medicine
- associate's degree
- Basic Life Support (BLS) current upon hire
- ARRT, JRCERT, ARMRIT, or NMTCB registry in Radiology, Radiation Therapy, MR, or Nuclear Medicine
- ARRT Registry in Computed Tomography (CT)
- work under the supervision of an ARRT(CT) technologist until ARRT(CT) is obtained (if not ARRT(CT) upon hire)
