Job Summary
Review patient history and physician orders, then educate patients on procedures and equipment to ensure cooperation. Administer contrast media and medications when ordered, while continuously monitoring patient conditions and reporting status changes. Prepare equipment and supplies, implementing safety standards and performing quality control procedures. Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions as necessary, position patients, and perform imaging procedures. Analyze results to identify image quality issues, taking action to reposition patients or repeat procedures. Enter, transmit, and report scan results. This full-time night shift role at Los Alamos Medical Center includes a $20,000 sign-on bonus for a 24-month commitment.
Required Qualifications
- current NM Radiologic Technologist license
- graduate of an ARRT, JRCERT, ARMRIT, or NMTCB accredited program in Radiologic Technology, Radiation Therapy, MR, or Nuclear Medicine
- associate's degree
- Basic Life Support (BLS) current upon hire
- ARRT, JRCERT, ARMRIT, or NMTCB registry in Radiology, Radiation Therapy, MR, or Nuclear Medicine Registry
- ARRT Registry in Computed Tomography (CT)
- work under the supervision of an ARRT(CT) technologist until ARRT(CT) is obtained (if not ARRT(CT) upon hire)
