Job Summary

Review patient history and physician's orders, then educate patients on procedures and equipment to ensure cooperation. Prepare and administer contrast media or medications when ordered, while continuously monitoring patient condition and reporting status changes. Position patients to perform imaging procedures, analyze results for quality issues, and take corrective action such as repositioning or repeating scans. Enter, transmit, and report scan results. Prepare equipment and supplies, implement safety standards, perform quality control procedures, and troubleshoot or report any malfunctions. This full-time night shift role at Los Alamos Medical Center offers 5x8s or 4x10s schedules from late evening through morning. The position includes a $20,000 sign-on bonus for a twenty-four-month commitment.

Required Qualifications

  • current NM Radiologic Technologist license
  • graduate of an ARRT, JRCERT, ARMRIT, or NMTCB accredited program in Radiologic Technology, Radiation Therapy, MR, or Nuclear Medicine
  • associate's degree
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) current upon hire
  • ARRT, JRCERT, ARMRIT, or NMTCB registry in Radiology, Radiation Therapy, MR, or Nuclear Medicine Registry
  • ARRT Registry in Computed Tomography (CT)
  • work under the supervision of an ARRT(CT) technologist until ARRT(CT) is obtained (if not ARRT(CT) upon hire)
