Job Summary
Provide mentoring and supportive services to children ages 11–21 with mental health and/or co-occurring disorders as part of the Children's Community Action Treatment Team. Deliver services in the community, including schools and homes, while developing positive relationships by guiding interactions for children and their families in Charlotte County. Observe behaviors and family interactions to provide vital feedback to team members and interact with community partners and stakeholders as appropriate. Work evenings and on-call as necessary or assigned. Requires a high school diploma, one year of experience working with children and families, and a valid Florida driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one (1) year experience working with children and families
- Ability to pass a level II Background clearance and drug test
- Valid FL drivers' license, insurance, and safe driving record
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
- Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle in all driving conditions
- Ability to lift up to 10 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge and understanding of the characteristics of children with mental health concerns, families, and family systems preferred
