Job Summary
Conduct active market operations to identify new business opportunities in collaboration with sales and client management teams, positioning AIG as a leading liability insurer in Germany. Develop and introduce specialized coverage and service concepts while analyzing and evolving the DACH liability landscape. Perform detailed analysis of competitor and broker contracts to negotiate model terms, draft individual clauses, and provide legal assessments of liability agreements in German and English. Evaluate major claims regarding liability and coverage, offering professional support to the underwriting team through regular training on product developments. This role requires a degree in law or business administration with extensive experience in international industrial liability underwriting and condition development. The position is based in the DACH region with 10-20% travel, offering flexible working hours and smart working options within a flat-hierarchy structure.
Required Qualifications
- Abgeschlossenes Studium der Rechts- oder Betriebswirtschaft oder eines vergleichbaren Studiengangs oder gleichwertige Ausbildung
- Fundierte Berufserfahrung im Underwriting von industriellem internationalem Haftpflichtgeschäft
- Mehrjährige Erfahrung in der Entwicklung von Versicherungsbedingungen, Konzepten und Wordings
- Überzeugende Marktpräsenz und Kommunikationsfähigkeit (inkl. Beziehungsbildung)
- Gewandtheit im Dialog und im Umgang mit Kunden und Maklern
- Teamfähigkeit, selbstständiges Arbeiten und schnelle Auffassungsgabe sowie Entscheidungsfreude
- Hoher Grad an Selbstmotivation, Belastbarkeit besonders beim Arbeiten unter Stress und Termindruck sowie Durchsetzungsvermögen
- Ausgeprägte Service-Bereitschaft - intern wie extern
- Sehr gute Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse
- Bereitschaft zu regelmäßigen Reisen (10-20 %)
