Job Summary
Review and determine course of action on assigned files, conducting thorough investigations to document coverage, liability status, and damages. Process bodily injury and coverage claims in accordance with established procedures while researching case and statutory law. Work closely with third parties, plaintiff counsel, and leadership to determine necessary injury and coverage investigations. Prepare claim evaluations for settlement authority and notify reinsurers on qualifying claims. Maintain reasonable expense factors and handle other duties as assigned. This role requires 3-5 years of casualty claims experience and knowledge of legal and medical terminology.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years in Casualty claims experience
- Knowledge of legal and medical terminology
- Ability to pass written examinations where required by state statutes to become a licensed claims adjuster
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
