Job Summary
Review and determine course of action on assigned files to support final disposition of automobile bodily injury and coverage claims. Conduct thorough investigations, document file activity including coverage, liability status, and damages, and research case and statutory law for proper claim analysis. Process claims in accordance with established procedures, prepare claim evaluations for settlement authority, and notify reinsurers on qualifying claims. Collaborate with third parties, plaintiff counsel, and leadership to determine necessary injury and coverage investigations while maintaining reasonable expense factors.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years in Casualty claims experience
- Knowledge of legal and medical terminology
- Ability to pass written examinations where required by state statutes to become a licensed claims adjuster
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
