Job Summary
Investigate and settle automobile bodily injury and casualty claims. Review and determine course of action on each file, conduct thorough investigations, document policy status, coverage, liability and damages, and prepare claim evaluations for the appropriate settlement authority. Work with third parties, plaintiff counsel, Claim Director, and COO to determine injury and coverage investigations; research case law; maintain accurate file activity and notify reinsurer on qualifying claims; ensure adherence to office procedures and manage expenses. Requires 3-5 years of casualty claims experience and a licensed claims adjuster as applicable; strong negotiation, written and interpersonal skills; proficient in Microsoft Office. Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years in Casualty claims experience a MUST!
- Knowledge of legal and medical terminology.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, written, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to pass written examinations where required by state statutes to become a licensed claims adjuster.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
