Job Summary
Casualty Claims Specialist responsible for investigating and settling automobile bodily injury and liability claims, including complex cases with potential extended disability. Responsibilities include file review and determination of disposition, thorough investigations with documentation of coverage, liability, and damages, collaboration with third parties, counsel, and leadership, researching case law, documenting policy status, presenting claim evaluations for settlement authority, and managing expenses. Requires 3-5 years in casualty claims, knowledge of legal/medical terminology, strong negotiation and communication skills, ability to obtain licensure as a claims adjuster, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years in Casualty claims experience
- Knowledge of legal and medical terminology
- Excellent negotiation, communication, written, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to pass written examinations where required by state statutes to become a licensed claims adjuster
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
