Casualty Claims Specialist

Job Summary
Investigate and settle automobile bodily injury and casualty claims. Review and determine courses of action on each file to support final disposition, conduct thorough investigations, document policy status, coverage, liability, and damages, and work with third parties, plaintiff counsel, Claim Director, and COO to determine necessary injury and coverage investigation. Research case and statutory law to conduct proper claim investigations; prepare and present claim evaluations for appropriate settlement authority; maintain reasonable expense factors; handle other duties as assigned. Requires 3-5 years of casualty claims experience, knowledge of legal/medical terminology, strong negotiation/communication/written/organizational/interpersonal skills, and ability to obtain a licensed claims adjuster status via state exams. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a competitive benefits package for full-time employees are offered.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years in Casualty claims experience
- Knowledge of legal and medical terminology
- Excellent negotiation, communication, written, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to pass written examinations where required by state statutes to become a licensed claims adjuster
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
