Job Summary
Lead a team of 5-8 Claims Adjusters and Specialists, coaching talent, conducting monthly audits, and resolving complex, high-exposure claims while ensuring regulatory compliance. Direct reserve reviews for high-cost files, manage caseloads per company standards, and participate in mediations, pre-trials, and trials as needed. Conduct performance evaluations, organize training, and drive continuous improvement projects to enhance process efficiency and customer service. Review system reports to identify trends, collaborate with underwriting and counsel, and recommend business system developments. This hybrid role requires three days in the office and two days remotely. Salary ranges from $93,695 to $145,226.
Required Qualifications
- College Degree or Equivalent Experience
- 5+ Years of Casualty or General Liability Claims experience gained through increasingly responsible position within the claims field
- Extensive experience in appropriate reserving procedures
- Effective negotiation skills in Personal, Commercial, General Liability, and Property coverage and settlement practices
- Extensive experience in directing Independent Vendors and Coverage Counsel
- Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills
- Superior Interpersonal Skills
- Efficient time management skills
- Ability to apply common sense, understanding, reasoning and sound educated judgement coupled with sound Claims training and experience to properly evaluate and analyze claims for recommended action within assigned authority levels
- AIC or CPCU designations
