Job Summary
Casual Store Clerk at NSLC (Eskasoni, NS) responsible for high-quality customer service, handling transactions, and ensuring safe and responsible sale of beverage alcohol and cannabis. Duties support the store’s safe operation and maintenance in alignment with NSLC values; hours vary week to week. Requires 19+ age, Grade 12 or equivalent, eligibility to work in Canada, ability to lift 40lbs, willingness to undergo Criminal Record check, and shift work including evenings and weekends. Position at Eskasoni requires bilingual English and Mi'kmaw (and Eskasoni First Nation membership). Prior customer service, cash/POS experience, and beverage alcohol industry experience are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- At least 19 years of age
- Grade 12, GED, or equivalent
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Physically able to lift 40lbs
- Willing to complete Criminal Record check upon hire or provide one issued within last 6 months
- Willing to work shifts, evenings and weekends
- Bilingual in predominantly French-speaking communities
- Eskasoni location requires bilingual English and Mi'kmaw and membership in Eskasoni First Nation
- Previous customer service experience (preferred)
- Previous cash and/or POS system experience (preferred)
- Previous experience in beverage alcohol industry (preferred)
