Job Summary
Provide high-quality customer service, handle transactions, and ensure safe and responsible sales of beverage alcohol and cannabis in accordance with NSLC mandates. Perform duties necessary for the efficient operation and maintenance of the store, including managing inventory and operating point-of-sale systems. This is a casual position with hours that vary from week to week, requiring flexibility for evening and weekend shifts. Candidates must be at least 19 years old, hold a Grade 12 or equivalent, and be physically able to lift 40lbs. For the Eskasoni location, bilingualism in English and Mi'kmaw and membership in the Eskasoni First Nation are required. Apply online by September 4, 2026.
Required Qualifications
- At least 19 years of age
- Grade 12, GED, or equivalent
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Physically able to lift 40lbs
- Willing to complete a Criminal Record check upon hire, or provide one issued within the last 6 months
- Willing to work shift work, particularly evenings and weekends
- Bilingual in predominantly French speaking communities
- Bilingual in English and Mi'kmaw
- Member of the Eskasoni First Nation
Desired Qualifications
- Previous customer service experience
- Relevant sales experience
- Previous cash and/or Point of Sale system experience
- Previous experience in the beverage alcohol industry
