Job Summary
Casual Store Clerk role handling transactions and providing high-quality customer service, ensuring safe and responsible sale of beverage alcohol and cannabis, and contributing to safe, efficient operation and maintenance of the store. Position supports NSLC values and may require bilingual abilities (French; Eskasoni location requires English and Mi'kmaw and Eskasoni First Nation membership). Hours vary week to week and shift work including evenings and weekends are expected.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 19 years of age
- Have Grade 12, GED, or equivalent
- Be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Be physically able to lift 40lbs
- Be willing to complete a Criminal Record check upon hire, or provide one issued within the last 6 months
- Be willing to work shift work, particularly evenings and weekends
- Be bilingual in predominantly French speaking communities
- For Eskasoni Location, be bilingual in English and Mi'kmaw and be a member of the Eskasoni First Nation
- Previous customer service experience
- Previous cash and/or Point of Sale system experience
- Previous experience in beverage alcohol industry
