Job Summary
Provide high-standard practical support through therapeutic programs for young people in residential out-of-home care, managing complex behaviors and assisting with daily routines, education, recreational activities, home maintenance, and hygiene. Maintain self-awareness in challenging situations while building rapport quickly and working effectively under pressure. Maintain current first aid and CPR certifications, hold a paid Blue Card and open QLD driver license, and be willing to use a company vehicle. Work afternoons, sleepovers, weekends, and public holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Current first aid & CPR certifications
- Current paid Blue Card – Working with Children Check
- Current open QLD driver licence
- Willing and able to use a company vehicle
- Hope and Healing course
- Ability to complete and pass a Licensed Care Services screening check – LCS2/LCS7
- Reliable registered motor vehicle with comprehensive car insurance
- Hold minimum certificate IV in a relevant field, or, actively studying to obtain
- Must be comfortable and skilled in using technology
- The ability to work afternoons, sleepovers, weekends and public holidays
