Job Summary
Collaborate on the implementation of the district's immunization program and work with community providers to organize onsite vaccination events. Provide biometric health screenings for area businesses and employers while actively participating in performance management and quality improvement activities. Engage in emergency response training and drills to support public health disaster preparedness. Pursue professional growth through education and committee participation. Perform other duties as assigned and adhere to all personnel policies, HIPAA regulations, and confidentiality practices. Requires a valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation for community site visits.
Required Qualifications
- RN preferred, LPN accepted
- Associates or Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Valid driver's license
- Current certificate of vehicle insurance
- Access to reliable transportation to all assigned work locations
- Knowledge of principles, practices and theories of public health assessment and planning
- Ability to apply principles, practices and theories of public health assessment and planning to health promotion, policy development, and health improvement
- Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with individuals and groups from a wide variety of backgrounds, interests and experiences
- Ability to deliver services and education in a culturally sensitive manner
- Ability to participate in Performance Management and Quality Improvement activities
- Ability to participate in PPHD and community emergency response training and drills
- Ability to pursue education and professional growth
- Ability to contribute to a work environment where continual improvements in practice are pursued
- Ability to comply with all PPHD personnel policies and procedures
- Ability to follow and adhere to all HIPAA and PPHD confidentiality and privacy policies and practices
- Ability to treat others with courtesy and respect in all interactions

- Ability to work in a general office setting
- Ability to work in community sites
- Ability to use computer, fax, copier, personal or PPHD vehicle, and public health equipment and supplies
